Celebrating 12 years of Successful Yantra

Science | Tech | Entrepreneurship Festival

"Climate Change and Future of Work" - Yantra 9.0

The Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) organizes the Yantra Science Tech and Entrepreneurship Festival every year to honor science, technology and entrepreneurship in Nepal.

Background

The Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) organizes the Yantra Science Tech and Entrepreneurship Festival every year to honor science, technology and entrepreneurship in Nepal. The festival was first held as a National Robotics competition. Since its inaugural run in 2011, the festival has developed into one of the biggest and most well-liked tech gatherings in the nation. Yantra offered a variety of events, such as seminars, talks, exhibitions, robotics competitions, and conferences. The event also places a lot of emphasis on entrepreneurship, giving young people who work in robotics the chance to launch and start their own companies.
In Nepal, Yantra has had a significant role in advancing science and technology related to robotics. The festival has encouraged many young people to seek careers in STEM and has assisted in increasing awareness of the significance of Robotics and AI. Yantra has facilitated communication among Nepal's IT community and established a venue for creativity and teamwork.
RAN has completed five different National Robotics Competitions, three different International Robotics Competitions, three Art, Tech Festivals, two Robobusiness Cups, and two Machine Learning Competitions in preparation for the ninth edition of Yantra Science, Tech, and Entrepreneurship Festival, which has as its theme Climate Change and the Future of Work. In three separate cities across the nation—Dhangadhi, Pokhara, and Biratnagar—more than fourteen distinct Mini Yantra regional robotics tournaments have already been concluded. Since the competition's start, over 10,000 students have taken part in total.

Yantra 9.0 will carry on this illustrious heritage, which was interrupted for three years by the Covid-19 epidemic. It will be bigger and better this year with the global topic of Climate Change and the Future of Work. The degree of experience that each year's attendees are offered to the event grows along with our national and international network and reach.

The Robotics Association of Nepal [RAN] is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that offers a forum for tech enthusiasts and students around Nepal to encourage, inform, and encourage more Nepalis to delve into the fields of makers, robotics, electronics, and automation. With practical instruction and workshops in robotics and electronics automation, RAN was founded in 2010. Through our program "Ujjwal Robotics Education" we have been introducing a new robotics program started every year to make technology more approachable and enjoyable. We founded "Miss-Tech" in 2016 with the goal of encouraging female participation in the technology industry—by women, for women. As a part of Yantra, we have been hosting an annual robotics competition at the national and international levels for the past 12 years. Yantra offers open cooperation chances, expertise on Robotics and AI, and high school and secondary school students interested in engineering and IT.
